What To Expect

This is how we work with you and your child to help:

Step 1: Booking an Assessment

You can reach out to us via phone, email or online. Our friendly customer service team will find out more about your concerns, talk you through our process and answer all your questions. Once booked you will be sent our assessment preparation form to complete prior to your child’s first appointment with us.

Step 2: Getting to Know Your Child

Once received, your Speech Pathologist will read through your assessment preparation form to find out more about your child and family and prepare an individualised assessment plan.

Step 3: Completing the Assessment

At your first appointment your Speech Pathologist will ask you extra questions to get to know your child and family even more and find out what you’re hoping to achieve from seeing us. They’ll complete a number of assessments to deeply understand your child’s strengths and difficulties and how we can best help. You’ll receive an overview of your child’s results and therapy recommendations on the day of the assessment. No waiting 2+ weeks!

Step 4: Setting Goals

Before your child’s first therapy appointment, your Speech Pathologist will create an individually tailored goal achievement plan to get your child reaching their goals quickly.

Step 5: Doing the Therapy

This step is loads of fun! Your Speech Pathologist will work with you and your child doing a variety of engaging activities that help your child progress towards their goals. The sessions will be full of energy, positivity and progress.

Step 6: Reviewing Progress

Regular reviews are crucial to ensure your child is making fantastic progress in therapy and their goals are at the right level. We’ll review your child’s goal achievement plan with you every 12 weeks. Then we’ll discuss what needs to happen next and create a new plan if needed.
