Strengthening the Reading Rope: Early Literacy Group

Learning to read can be tricky!  There are many strands, or skills, that children need to weave together to become strong and fluent readers.  This small group focuses on building these skills in a positive and nurturing way.

What is it?

This is a fun school holiday program for Kindergarten and Year 1 students who have delayed literacy skills or would benefit from some extra guided practice.  Sessions are run by one of our Speech Pathologists using approaches that research has proven to be effective in improving literacy skills in young children. There is a maximum of 6 children in each group to ensure that every child has the opportunity for both group and individual guidance.
