Jenni Harvey


Clinical Director

Jenni completed her speech pathology degree in 2002 and has gained extensive experience working as a speech language pathologist with children and their families in public, private and not-for-profit settings.  She is passionate about early intervention and the application of family centred practice principles.  She has a special interest in hearing impairment and achieved her international certification in Auditory-Verbal Therapy in 2009.  Jenni is also a certified in the Hanen ‘More Than Words’ program; a program for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  Jenni has conducted numerous workshops and seminars for community groups and health and education professionals and has written and presented research papers at both national and international conferences. Jenni believes parents and carers are the most important and knowledgeable people in a child’s life and as such she involves them in all steps of the assessment and therapy process.  Jenni is dedicated to helping families achieve the best possible outcomes their child.  She does this by building strong connections and trust with families, taking a flexible, fun, play based approach to intervention and supporting families in making decisions for their child.

Shannon Tomlinson

Speech Language Pathologist

Shannon completed her speech pathology honours degree in mid 2015. She has worked with children and their families in both the not-for-profit and private sectors.  Shannon has a wealth of experience with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder having worked as an Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) therapist and Speech Pathology Assistant for four years during her studies. Shannon believes that developing a partnership with families is the most important thing when working to achieve positive outcomes for children with communication difficulties. She takes an holistic approach when planning assessments and therapy goals, taking into account not only the child but their family and community. Shannon loves working with children and always tries to make sessions as much fun as possible while still achieving communication goals.

Erica Tang

Speech Language Pathologist

Erica graduated as a speech language pathologist in 2003.  Since this time she has worked with children and their families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds in early childhood settings and in their homes. She is passionate about early intervention and supporting parents and early childhood educators to promote the best possible language, social and literacy skills in young children. She has a special interest in preschool aged language and is certified to provide a number of parent and educator training programs developed by the Hanen Centre, a Canadian not-for-profit organization.  Erica is a bilingual speech language pathologist and is able to conduct sessions in Cantonese as well as English. Erica believes that working closely with parents and carers empowers them to help children achieve their full communication potential.

Jennifer Ballantine

Speech Language Pathologist

Jennifer has over 20 years experience working as a speech language pathologist with children and families both in Australia and Scotland.  Having lived in Australia for ten years, Jennifer has enjoyed working passionately with children and their families around the Sydney area. She has concentrated most of her career working in paediatrics and strongly believes that it is with working closely with family and caregivers that children have the best opportunity to achieve their communication potential. She feels that to gain the most from therapy, is important to take into account the holistic wellbeing of a child when assessing and setting individual goals. Jennifer enjoys working in all areas of paediatrics and plans sessions enthusiastically to gain the most from the children in her sessions. She believes in making her sessions fun to encourage a child’s learning while being informative to the parents. Jennifer loves enabling and watching children and their families grow throughout their journey of speech, language and communication development.
